Carbon Disclosure Project Australia & New Zealand Report Launch 2008

The Investor Group on Climate Change in conjunction with project partners Goldman Sachs JBWere and Catholic Superannuation Fund recently launched the Carbon Disclosure Project Australia & New Zealand Report 2008.

The Report was launched by the Honourable Senator and Minister for Climate Change and Water Penny Wong at business lunch for investors and company representatives. The Minister’s presentation highlighted the potential opportunities flowing from action by government and the business community from addressing climate change. Sue Howell Head of Global Operations for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) presented an overview of the global response to the CDP and an update of future developments to CDP.

Commentary on the Carbon Disclosure Project Australia & New Zealand Report 2008 was provided by Amanda McCluskey Head of Sustainability & Responsible Investment Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Andrew Gray Head ESG Research Goldman Sachs JBWere and Joanne Saleeba Executive Director IGCC & Report Author.


Carbon Disclosure Project Briefing 2008 

The Investor Group on Climate Change in conjunction with project partners Goldman Sachs JBWere and Catholic Superannuation Fund hosted a series of Carbon Disclosure Briefings  in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland on Tuesday May 13 and Wednesday May 14 at Goldman Sachs JBWere. Preeminent institutional investors spoke on how the CDP is used by investors and provided advice on answering this year’s questionnaire which is due on Friday 30 May 2008. The presentations were attended by over 90 representatives from ASX200 and NZX50 companies and institutional investors.
 

Potential Earnings Impacts from Climate Change for Key Australian Sectors: Report Series Launch

The Investor Group on Climate Change in conjunction with Goldman Sachs JBWere, Merrill Lynch, Hastings Funds Management and Monash Sustainability Enterprises launched a series of Reports on the Potential Earnings Impacts from Climate Change for Key Australian Sectors on Friday 30 November.

The Reports describe the key climate change issues relevant to each sector and are designed to assist institutional investors, fund managers and analysts better understand climate change impacts for individual companies and assets and are available below:

CDP5 Australia & New Zealand Report Launch - 24 October

The Investor Group on Climate Change in conjunction with Goldman Sachs JBWere and The Climate Institute launched the CDP5 (Aus/NZ) Report in Melbourne during the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Global Roundtable on Wednesday 24 October.

CDP5 Report Launch - 22 October

The fifth report from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP5) will be launched in New York on 24th September 2007. The Report will be launched in Australia on Monday 22 October.
